HOW TO
Instructions provided describe how to print to an HP DesignJet 500, 30PS and 130/130nr with ArcPress.
This information may be applied to other HP printers that also accept the HP printer language HP-PCL3GUI.
1. Click File > Print.
2. Select the ArcPress Printer from the Printer Engine drop-down list.
3. Click the ArcPress 'Properties' button. Make sure that HP Universal driver is selected.
For HP DesignJet printers that support the PCL-GUI printer language, ArcGIS Desktop 9.0 has (from ArcGIS Desktop 9.0 Service Pack 2 and onwards) the ArcPress PCL RGB driver available.
Note:
The optional HPGL2 card for the HP DesignJet 500 is not required when using the ArcPress PCL RGB driver.

Note:
For the printers listed here that do not have any front panel that allow for settings, either paper type or print mode, the ArcPress resolution or DPI is hard-coded to match different paper types for the 8.x, 9.0 and 9.1 versions. If the ArcPress resolution does not match the paper type, the output quality may not be acceptable.
Plain paper = 300 dpi
Coated/Heavyweight coated paper = 600 dpi
Photo glossy/semi-glossy = 1200 dpi
