Prevent the filter panel of the Filter widget from displaying in a web app in ArcGIS Experience Builder

Summary

In ArcGIS Experience Builder, the Filter widget allows limiting the visibility of features in one or more layers to only those meeting specific criteria. However, after setting up the Filter widget, the filter panel may appear when clicking the widget, as shown in the image below. This may cause confusion as extra panels obscure the interface.

This article provides the workflow to prevent the filter panel of the Filter widget from displaying in a web app in ArcGIS Experience Builder.

Procedure

Select the No user input setting from the SQL Expression Builder settings.

1. Open the ArcGIS Experience Builder project and navigate to the Insert widget panel.
2. Under Data centric, drag and drop the Filter widget on the experience.
3. Customize the settings of the Filter widget.
4. Under SQL Expressions, click the SQL Expression Builder button to create a new expression.
5. Set the desired expressions and click the More input settings  button.
6. Select No user input and click OK.
