Perform a clean uninstall and reinstall of ArcGIS Drone2Map

Summary

A clean uninstall denotes removing any folders or references to the ArcGIS Drone2Map software that could interfere with a newer installation of the software, and is a step conducted in routine troubleshooting to rule out issues with the installation process. Procedure

Warning:
The instructions below may change part of the machine's operating system. Contact the organization's IT department for assistance, if necessary.
Esri cannot guarantee results from incorrect modifications while following these instructions.
  1. In ArcGIS Drone2Map, if the Authorize Drone2Map to work offline check box is checked in the Licensing tab, check in the offline license. Refer to ArcGIS Drone2Map: Check in an offline license for instructions.
  2. Uninstall ArcGIS Drone2Map. Refer to Microsoft: Uninstall or remove apps and programs in Windows for instructions.
  3. Navigate to the Windows Start menu. In the search bar, type regedit and press Enter on the keyboard. If prompted, click Yes in the User Account Control window.
  4. In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following folder directory:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ESRI
  1. Right-click the ArcGIS Online For Drone2Map folder and select Delete.
  2. In the Confirm Key Delete window, click Yes.
  3. Right-click the Drone2Map folder and select Delete.
  4. In the Confirm Key Delete window, click Yes.
  5. In File Explorer, navigate to the following folder directory:
C:\Users\<username>\Documents
  1. Delete the ArcGIS Drone2Map <version> folder. For example, ArcGIS Drone2Map 2023.2.
  2. In File Explorer, navigate to the following folder directory:
C:\Program Files\ArcGIS
  1. Delete the Drone2Map folder.
  2. In File Explorer, navigate to the following folder directory:
Note:
By default, the AppData folder is hidden. Refer to Microsoft: View hidden files and folders in Windows for instructions to display hidden folders.
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local
  1. Rename the Drone2Map folder to Drone2Map_old.
  2. In File Explorer, navigate to the following folder directory:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\ESRI
  1. Rename the Drone2Map folder to Drone2Map_old.
  2. InĀ File Explorer, navigate to the following folder directory:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ESRI
  1. Rename the Drone2Map folder to Drone2Map_old.
  2. Rename any folders beginning with Drone2Map_, such as Drone2Map_StrongName_*******, as well
  3. Reboot the system, and run the installation of ArcGIS Drone2Map. Refer to ArcGIS Drone2Map: Install Drone2Map for instructions.
