Hide fields in a hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Online

Summary

Fields in the attribute table of a hosted feature layer can be hidden by creating a hosted feature layer view of the hosted feature layer and setting a view definition.

This article provides the steps to hide a hosted feature layer field. In this example, the ORIG_FID field must be hidden in the attribute table.

Procedure

  1. Create a hosted feature layer view from the hosted feature layer. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Create a hosted feature layer view for instructions.
  2. In the feature layer view's item details page, click the Visualization tab.
  3. Under the layer, click More Options The More Options button and click Show table.
  4. On the table, click Tools The Tools icon to open the Field visibility window.
  5. Disable the desired fields in the layer and click Done.
