Extract StreetMap USA data and maintain Data Distribution Application symbology

Summary

Instructions provided describe how to extract StreetMap USA data and maintain Data Distribution Application (DDA) symbology using ArcGIS.

Procedure

1. Launch DDA_Arc.exe from the DDA folder in the StreetMap USA and Data & Maps DVD.
2. Open any one of these MXD files:
   • StreetMap USA
   • Street Map Pro Scale
   • Thematic
3. Zoom to the area of interest.
4. On the menu bar, select File > Extract.
5. Select the following items:
   • Output file format
   • Map document name
   • Extraction location
6. Click OK.
