HOW TO
When symbolizing a feature layer based on joined fields, it is possible to exclude the features with null values from being displayed on the map in ArcGIS Pro. This article describes the workflow to exclude the null value features when symbolizing based on a joined field in ArcGIS Pro.
Choose one of the methods below.
Use the Select By Attributes function
In ArcGIS Pro, use the Select By Attributes function on the joined data. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Select features by attributes for steps to do so.
Note: In the Select By Attributes window, select the is not null option in the Expression box.
Exclude the data in the Symbology pane
Note: Data exclusion is only supported in the following layer symbology options: Graduated Colors, Graduated Symbols, Proportional Symbols, Charts, and Dot Density.
