Enable and disable ArcInfo Workstation extensions

This article includes information on how to enable and disable ArcInfo Workstation's extensions. Use this when a license must be released to the available pool so that other users may access it.

Procedure

• Type the following command at the Arc prompt to ENABLE an extension:
  
  PRODUCT <PRODUCTNAME> AVAILABLE
  
  For example:

  PRODUCT GRID AVAILABLE

  
  
• Type the following command at the Arc: prompt to DISABLE an extension, releasing the license to the shared pool:
  
  PRODUCT <PRODUCTNAME> DISABLED
  
  For example:
  
  

  Code:
  PRODUCT GRID DISABLED

  
  

  Note:
  This will cause the product to give a licensing error when an attempt is made to start it:
