Edit a basemap reference layer in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer Classic

Summary

In ArcGIS Online Map Viewer Classic, reference layers can include demographic data and other information about the surrounding locations on the map. For example, displaying the number of households, as well as the proximity of schools and universities, provides a bigger picture on the adequacy of the education infrastructure in the area. This article provides the steps to edit a basemap reference layer in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer Classic.

Procedure

  1. Open the map in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer Classic.
  2. On the Details tab, click Content, and click the Change Style icon below the reference layer to open the Change Style page.

  1. Perform the required changes.
