Download and install the ArcGIS Flight Connection app without access to the Google Play Store

Summary

The ArcGIS Flight Connection app, which is required to use the ArcGIS Flight app, is not available on the Google Play Store. Instead, Esri provides the Android application directly that must be manually downloaded and installed on the drone controller. This article provides the workflow to download and install the ArcGIS Flight Connection app.

Procedure

Note:
The ArcGIS Flight Connection app can be downloaded on any compatible Android device. However, it can only be launched on the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise or DJI Matrice 4 Enterprise drone controllers.

Note:
Ensure the drone controller firmware is updated to the latest version before downloading the installation file.

1. On the drone controller, download the ArcGIS Flight Connection .APK file.
2. After the download is complete, open the Files app on the drone controller and navigate to the internal storage.
3. Tap the downloaded .APK file to install the ArcGIS Flight Connection app.
4. Once the installation is complete, open the ArcGIS Flight Connection app by tapping the app's icon.
