Display hyperlinks from a field in a feature layer's attribute table in ArcGIS Experience Builder

Summary

In ArcGIS Experience Builder, it is possible to display hyperlinks from a field in a feature layer's attribute table. Hyperlinks are used to provide additional information about the feature layer when performing detailed data analysis. The image below shows the attribute table of a feature layer containing hyperlinks.

This article describes the method to display hyperlinks from a field in a feature layer's attribute table in ArcGIS Experience Builder.

Procedure

Use the List widget to display the hyperlinks from a field in the feature layer's attribute table.

1. Open the ArcGIS Experience Builder project and navigate to the Insert widget panel.
2. Under Data centric, drag and drop the List widget to a desired position on the experience.
3. Click Start after selecting a template design for the list's item cards.
4. In the List widget's configuration panel, under the Content tab, click Select data.
5. In the Select data pane, select the feature layer containing a URL field. If necessary, click Add new data to add a new feature layer from ArcGIS Online.
6. Click the Text widget for the first item in the List widget and click the Dynamic content button to display the Dynamic content panel.
7. Under the Attribute tab, in the Data section, select Auto-populated in the second drop-down menu.
8. Click the attribute field containing the URLs, and click anywhere on the experience outside the List widget to display the records.
9. Click the Text widget and double-click the URL text for the first item in the List widget. The Text widget's configuration panel opens.
10. Click the Link button under Text format to display the Set link window.
11. In the Link to drop-down menu, select URL.
12. Select Attribute for the URL configuration box. The Attribute window is displayed.

13. Select the field containing the websites and click OK in the Set link window to display the hyperlinks.

14. Click Save to save the experience.
