Summary
Annotations are added to a map in ArcGIS Business Analyst to highlight specific areas and provide additional information. Sometimes, a specific annotation needs to be deleted individually for editing purposes.
This article describes how to delete annotations in ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App.
Procedure
For Text and Image annotations
- Log in to ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App and open the project.
- Click Add Annotation from the map tools. The Add Annotation window opens.
- Use one of the following steps to remove either Text or Image annotations.
- Click the Text annotation in the map with the Add Annotation window open and click the delete
button in the text box. The text is removed from the map.
- Click the Image annotation in the map and click the delete button in the Select imported image option. Click OK in the Delete Image dialogue box. The image is removed from the map.
For Shape and Draw annotations
By default, there is no option to delete the Shape and Draw annotations in ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App. This procedure describes an alternative solution using the transparency slider to completely hide the annotations. The annotation can still be selected on the map.
- Log in to ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App and open the project.
- Click Add Annotation from the map tools. The Add Annotation window opens.
- Click the Shape annotation on the map with the Add Annotation window open and navigate to the Fill and Border settings, respectively.
- Set the Transparency option to 100%. The shape is no longer visible on the map.
- Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to conceal the Draw annotation.
