Steps to configure a Summagraphics Microgrid III digitizer.

Procedure

1. Set the digitizer dip switches as follows:

S1    on  off  off  off  off  off   on  on
S2    off off  on   off  off  on   off off
S3    on  off  on   off  off  on   on  off

2. At the DOS prompt, type the following command:

COPY C:\ARCEXE\DIGFORM\SGMGRID C:\ARCEXE\DIGFORM\SGMG3

3. Edit the C:\ARCEXE\DIGFORM\SGMG3 digform file to look like this:

Save all the changes.

4. Run CON-DIG at the Arc prompt like this:

CON-DIG SGMG3 x 9600 O 8 1
        |     | |    | | |_ stop bits
        |     | |    | |___ data bits
        |     | |    |_____ parity
        |     | |__________ baud rate
        |     |____________ port #
        |__________________ format file

5. Run the DIGTEST command at the Arc prompt to make sure the digitizer is communicating correctly with PC ARC/INFO

Note:
This digitizer is supported only in POINT MODE.
