Configure the NUMONICS ACCUGRID 16-button digitizer

Summary

Steps to configure a NUMONICS ACCUGRID, 16-button digitizer.

Procedure

1. Make sure the following setting are on in the ACCUGRID SETUP MENU:

Emulation/Output format: CALCOMP 9x00 - ASCII Fmt 3

Interface:
Baud: 9600
Data: 8
Parity: none
Stop: 1

Modes: Point
Increment: 0 = OFF
Stream Rate: MAX

Resolution:
Lines Per Inch: 1000

ASCII Options: CR
LF

Transmit out of Prox: Disable

If you want these settings to be the default when you turn on the digitizer, save them as Application 1.

2. Create the following digform file in an ASCII text editor and save it as ACCUGRID in the C:\ARCEXE\DIGFORM\ sub-directory. You may want to make a copy of
the CAL9100 digform file, edit as necessary, and save it as ACCUGRID.

3. Run CON-DIG at the Arc prompt like this:

CON-DIG ACCUGRID x 9600 NONE 8 1

|________________________ format file

4. Use the DIGTEST utility to make sure the digitizer is working correctly.

Note:
This digitizer is only supported in POINT MODE.


Note:
If the digitizer passes DIGTEST, but upon subsequent ARCEDIT sessions the digitizer does not appear to be communication with the PC, you may need to remove the REM statements on lines 18 and 19 of the C:\ARCEXE\CMD\ARC.BAT file.
