Steps to Configure the KURTA XLC digitizing board.

Procedure

The best way to configure the KURTA digitizing board is to emulate the GTCO DIGI-PAD 5.

1. If you installed the drivers for the KURTA board, uninstall them.

2. Get the button settings. Run KERMIT and press each of the buttons on the digitizer. Record the characters that appear on the screen. You will need these values to modify the digform file. Example:

Pressing button 16 displays @
In the digform file: '@' 0

3. Copy the GTCO5 digform file to KURTAXLC.

4. Edit the KURTAXLC digform file to accommodate the 16-button puck:

'KURTAXLC' Digform's file name
1 Device driver #
'(A1,F5.3,1X,F5.3)' Format
F Menu bar off
F Single button mode off
73.0, 1.0, 0.0 X max, x scale, x offset

* 0 is actually set to be button 16
* A is set to be button 10

CON-DIG KURTAXLC x 9600 N 8 1
| | | | | |_ stop bits
