Steps to configure a NUMONICS ACCUGRID 6090 digitizer with a 4-button puck.

Procedure

The NUMONICS ACCUGRID 6090 digitizer needs to be configured to emulate a CALCOMP 9xxx type of digitizer.

1. Make a copy of the CAL9000 digform and call it NUMO6090.

2. Modify the NUMO6090 digform:

3. Run CON-DIG at the Arc prompt like this:

CON-DIG NUMO6090 x 9600 N 8 1
| | | | | |_ stop bits
| | | | |___ data bits
| | | |________ parity
| | |_____________ baud rate
| |_______________ port #
|________________________ format file

4. Run the DIGTEST diagnostic program to make sure the digitizer works correctly.

For Point Mode, use the following menu settings:

Output format: ASCII Fmt 3
Interface:
Baud: 9600
Data: 8
Parity: none
Stop: 1

Modes: Point
Increment: 0
Stream Rate: max

Resolution: 1000

ASCII Options: CR & LF are dependent on host

Transmit out of Prox: Disable
