Steps to set up a GTCO DigiPad 5 with a 16-button puck.

Procedure

1. Configure the dip switches like this:

   S1: on-3,4,6,8  off-1,2,5,7
S2: on-1,2,3,4,5 off-6,7,8
S3: on-5 off-1,2,3,4,6,7,8

2. Use the format file (provided in the C:\ARCEXE\DIGFORM directory):

3. Run CON-DIG at the Arc prompt like this:

CON-DIG GTCO5 x 9600 N 8 1

| | | |_____ parity
| | |__________ baud rate
| |____________ port #
|__________________ format file

4. Run the DIGTEST utility to make sure the digitizer is working correctly.

Ignore the erroneous dip-switch configuration in the printed documentation for the GTCO DIGIPAD 5 in Chapter 4 (DIGITIZERS) of the PC ARC/INFO Technical Hardware Guide.
