Steps to configure a SUMMAGRAPHICS MICROGRID II digitizer.

Procedure

1. Set the dip switches like this:

Pin number:  1	  2    3    4    5    6    7    8
---------------------------------------------------
  Switch 1   on	  off  off  on   off  on   off  off
  Switch 2   off  on   off  off	 on   off  off  on

Switch 1 bank is visible on the back of the digitizer. Switch 2 bank can be accessed by removing a metal plate on the back of the digitizer.

2. Run CON-DIG at the DAK prompt like this:

CON-DIG SMGRID x 9600 E 7 1
        |      | |    | | |_ stop bits
        |      | |    | |___ data bits
        |      | |    |_____ parity
        |      | |__________ baud rate
        |      |____________ port #
        |___________________ format file

3. Run the DIGTEST utility to make sure the digitizer is working correctly.

An example of RAW data from tests run with KERMIT, DIGTEST, and DIGTESTW:

+19060,+11742,01,0   <-- pressing the '1' button
+19059,+11727,02,0   <-- pressing the '2' button
+19100,+12271,13,0   <-- pressing the 'A' button
