Configure a custom unit symbol for infographics in ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App

Summary

In ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App, infographics are used to visualize and analyze key site information. The value field supports basic unit symbols, such as currency and percentage symbols. The example below displays the predefined unit symbols of the value field.

In some instances, additional unit symbols are required in value fields to provide clearer context for infographics. Including appropriate unit symbols such as km, m², or people helps clarify what the values represent, resulting in more meaningful information. This article describes the workflow to configure a custom unit symbol for the value field in an infographic template.

Procedure

1. Sign in to ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App.
2. Open and edit the preferred infographic template. Refer to Steps 1 through 3 in ArcGIS Business Analyst: Build an infographic template for instructions.
3. In Create infographic panel, hover over the preferred value and click Edit style and format .
4. In the Style and format window, click Text styling.

5. In the Conditional styling window, click + Add condition.
6. Click the ellipsis icon at the right side of the table cell and click + Add advanced text.

7. Specify the preferred unit symbol.
   1. In the Build advanced text window, click + Add variable, and select This variable value.

2. Specify the unit symbol. In this example, km is specified. Click Save.
3. In the Conditional styling window, click Change style to change the text color to the preferred color, and click Apply.
