Configure a CalComp 23000 series digitizer for ArcInfo Workstation

Summary

Steps to configure a CalComp 23000 series digitizer to work with ArcInfo Workstation.

Procedure

1. Place the template so it fits over the pins on the upper left corner of the digitizer. The template divides the switches into 14 blocks:
   
   

      Setup
      Mode
      Parity
      Baud Rate
      Format
      Data Rate
      Res
      Freq
      Save default
      Save1
      Recall1
      Save2
      Recall2
      Reset 

   
   
   

   Note:
   The settings for Mode through Res are critical for ArcInfo Workstation. 

   
   
2. Place the puck over the template and click the button to turn a switch on or off.
   
   
3. Set Mode through Res like this:
   
   

   Mode        Parity      Baud     
   1 0 0 0 0   1 1 0 0    0 0 1     
   
   Format      Rate       Res
   1 1 1 0 0   1 1 1      1 1 0 

   
   
   

   Note:
    The value 1 equals on, and 0 equals off.
