Clear the display cache in ArcGIS Pro

Summary

There are times when it is necessary to clear the display cache on an application. Clearing the cache on an application can help with several things, including:

  • Removing a previous cache that is still resident after an update has occurred

In the ArcGIS Pro software application, you can clear the cache. Below are the steps and screenshots for guidance on where to locate the clear cache option in ArcGIS Pro.

Procedure

To clear the display cache in ArcGIS Pro, these are the steps to navigate to this setting:

  1. Open ArcGIS Pro, and on the Project page, click Settings, as shown in the next image.

 

  1. In the About ArcGIS Pro page, click Options, as shown below.

  1. On the Options page, click Display, and under Local cache, click Clear Cache now, as shown in the next image.
  2. Click OK, and close and reopen ArcGIS Pro.
  3. Go back to the project and verify that Pro performs as expected.
