Calculate and tabulate multiple zonal statistics for overlapping zones in ArcGIS Pro

Last Published: July 12, 2024

Summary

In ArcGIS Pro, the Zonal Statistics tool is used to calculate statistics on the cell values of a raster within the zones of another dataset. However, the Zonal Statistics tool is unable to calculate multiple statistics at once and generate an output table. This article provides the workflow to calculate and tabulate multiple zonal statistics for overlapping zones using the Zonal Statistics as Table tool.

Procedure

Note:
The Zonal Statistic as Table tool is only available with Spatial Analyst license and Image Analyst license.
  1. In ArcGIS Pro, navigate to the Analysis tab and click Tools.
  2. In the Geoprocessing pane, search for and select the Zonal Statistics as Table (Spatial Analyst) tool via the Find Tools search box.
  3. In the Zonal Statistics as Table pane, select the zone dataset from the Input Raster or Feature Zone Data drop-down list.
  4. In the Zone Field parameter, select the field with the zone values from the drop-down list.
  5. In the Input Value Raster parameter, select the raster from the drop-down list.
  6. In the Output Table parameter, specify a location and name for the output table.
  7. In the Statistic Type parameter, select a suitable predefined subset from the drop-down list to calculate multiple statistics at once.
