Summary
Customizing the Map Layers widget emphasizes a specific set of features used in data exploration or analysis of a web map. Multiple Map Layers widgets enable users to display specific layers with different visibility within the same published map. This article explains the workflow to add two Map Layers widgets in a Map widget for ArcGIS Experience Builder.
Procedure
- Open the ArcGIS Experience Builder project and navigate to the Insert widget panel.
- Under Map centric, drag and drop the Map widget onto the canvas.
- In the Map panel, click Select map and click Add new data in the Select data panel to select a web map for the Map widget.
- In the Insert widget panel, search for the Map Layers widget and drag and drop it in the Map widget.
- In the Map Layers panel, synchronize the Map Layers widget to the Map widget.
- Under Source, ensure the Interact with a Map widget option is selected.
- Click the drop-down arrow to select the map.
- Under Customize layers, click the web map and toggle on the Enable customize layers option.
- Select the layers to appear in the layer list.
- Under Options, toggle on the Toggle layer visibility option.
- Repeat Steps 4 through 5 to add the second Map Layers widget to the Map widget.
- Click Save to save the experience and click Publish to publish the experience to ArcGIS Online.
- To view the published experience, click More from the toolbar at the top of the builder window and click View published item.
