Summary
ArcGIS AllSource is a desktop application for intelligence analysis made available after the release of Portal for ArcGIS 11.1. Therefore, ArcGIS AllSource does not have a pre-registered App ID in ArcGIS Enterprise versions before 11.1. This article describes the procedure to register the ArcGIS AllSource App ID in Portal for ArcGIS 11.0 or earlier.
Procedure
ArcGIS AllSource
- Add and share ArcGIS AllSource as an item.
- Open the ArcGIS Portal Directory and log in as an administrator. The URL format is:
https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/arcgis/sharing/rest
- Under Related Resources, click User Content.
- Under Supported Operations, click Add Item.
- On the Add Item page, configure the parameters as follows:
- Title: ArcGIS AllSource
- Type: Application
- Type Keywords: Application, Registered App
- Tags: AllSource
- Click Add Item.
- On the User Item (<username> - ArcGIS AllSource) page, under Supported Operations, click Share Item.
- On the Share Item page, set Share with Everyone to True.
- Click Share Item.
- Register ArcGIS AllSource as an app.
- On the User Item (<username> - ArcGIS AllSource) page, select and copy the ID value.
- Under Related Operations, click Register App.
- On the Register App page, configure the parameters as follows:
- Item ID: paste the ID copied from Step 2(a).
- App Type: Select native from the drop-down menu.
- Redirect URIs: ["urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob"]
- Click Register App.
- Select and copy the App ID displayed on the Registered App(ArcGIS AllSource) page.
- Change the ArcGIS AllSource App ID in the Portal Administrator Directory.
- Navigate to the Portal Administrator Directory and log in as an administrator. The URL format is:
https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/arcgis/portaladmin
- Navigate to Home > Security > OAuth > Change AppID.
- On the Change App ID page, configure the parameters as follows:
- Current App ID: paste the copied App ID from Step 2(e).
- New App ID: arcgisallsource
- Click Change App ID.
ArcGIS AllSource Desktop
- Add and share ArcGIS AllSource Desktop as an item.
- Open the ArcGIS Portal Directory and log in as an administrator. The URL format is:
https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/arcgis/sharing/rest
- Under Related Resources, click User Content.
- Under Supported Operations, click Add Item.
- On the Add Item page, configure the parameters as follows:
- Title: ArcGIS AllSource Desktop
- Type: Application
- Type Keywords: Application, Registered App
- Tags: AllSource
- Click Add Item.
- On the User Item (<username>) - ArcGIS AllSource Desktop) page, under Supported Operations, click Share Item.
- On the Share Item page, set Share with Everyone to True.
- Click Share Item.
- Register ArcGIS AllSource Desktop as an app.
- In the User Item (<username>) - ArcGIS AllSource Desktop) page, select and copy the ID value.
- Under Related Operations, click Register App.
- On the Register App page, configure the parameters as follows:
- Item ID: paste the ID copied from Step 2(a).
- App Type: Select native from the drop-down menu.
- Redirect URIs: ["urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob"]
- Click Register App.
- Select and copy the App ID displayed on the Registered App (ArcGIS AllSource Desktop) page.
- Change the ArcGIS AllSource Desktop App ID in the Portal Administrator Directory.

- Navigate to Home > Security > OAuth > Change AppID.
