Frequently asked question

How does the map cache handle raster data?

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Answer

Raster data, like vector data, is an integral part of the cache. It is stored as tiles using a pyramid scheme. Similarly to vector data, the raster content can be retrieved for a specific extent and different zoom levels. Additionally, raster data can be retrieved to a user-specified image quality setting. For more information about data retrieval and related settings, see Mobile ADF documentation.
