How can I digitize a polyline or polygon so that it continues beyond the current extent of the View?

Answer

While digitizing, if you reach the extent of the View and wish to continue with the polyline or polygon feature, right-click with the mouse and choose Pan. The extent of the View will shift, allowing you to continue digitizing in the desired direction. It is not necessary to Stop Editing, Pan, and Start Editing again.
