BUG

Graphics display offset on certain hardware configurations when using a DPI of 120

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Description

When digitizing graphics on a map, the graphics may be drawn offset on machines with a particular hardware and DPI configuration.

This problem has been reported on Dell Latitude D800 series machines when using a NVidia GeoForce4 4200 Go video card and a DPI setting of 120.

The offset occurs with both the Java and .NET ADF.

Cause

The offset problem is specific to this configuration and DPI.

Workaround

Adjust display properties to use a DPI of 96. To calculate DPI, divide the width of your computer screen in pixels by the width in inches. For example:

1152 pixels/ 12 inches = 96 pixels per inch - also known as dots per inch or DPI.
