Geodatabase must be enabled as geodatabase admin user

Error Message

While creating an enterprise geodatabase in an Azure database for PostgreSQL using ArcGIS Pro 3.4, the following error message is returned: 

Geodatabase must be enabled as geodatabase admin user

Cause

The sde login role lacks the membership of azure_pg_admin role. As shown in the image below, the WITH ADMIN option is unchecked.

Solution or Workaround

1. Make sure the database has been configured and set up with the required privileges.
2. After creating an SDE login role, grant its membership to the azure_pg_admin role.
