Find what image formats are supported by ArcGIS

Summary

ArcGIS supports many different raster formats for both reading and writing.

Procedure

• Formats that ArcGIS can read (display) are found in ArcGIS Desktop Help.
  Select Start > Programs > ArcGIS > Desktop Help
  Under the Contents tab go to ArcCatalog > Working with rasters > Supported raster formats.
• Formats that ArcGIS can write (create) are TIFF, ESRI Grid, ERDAS Imagine, and ArcSDE Raster (ArcEditor and ArcInfo only).
