Frequently asked question

Why are credits charged to an ArcGIS Online account when the Network Data Source in ArcGIS Pro is connected to an ArcGIS Enterprise account?

Last Published: July 24, 2020

Answer

In ArcGIS Pro, when running an analysis using the Network Analysis tool, the Network Data Source option is used to create a network analysis layer. The option is available in the Network Analysis drop-down menu.

Although the Network Data Source option is connected to an ArcGIS Enterprise account, the credits are charged to the specified ArcGIS Online organizational account. This is because ArcGIS Enterprise is configured to consume credits from the specified ArcGIS Online organizational account for the Network utility service.

To prevent credit consumption from the specified ArcGIS Online organizational account when using the Network Analysis tool in ArcGIS Pro, verify the ArcGIS Enterprise configuration for the use of utility services from the ArcGIS Online organizational account. To do so, follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to ArcGIS Enterprise.
  2. Click Organization > Settings> ArcGIS Online.
  3. Uncheck the Network utility service option.
  4. Click Configure > Save.
