FAQ: What Software Do I Need to Add Tables from RDBMS, Such as Oracle or Access?

Answer

In order to add tables to ArcView from Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), such as Oracle, Access, Sequel Server, and so forth, you must have an ODBC driver for the database.

To see what drivers are currently installed on your system, click Start > Setting > Control Panels, then double-click Data Sources (ODBC and select the Drivers tab. If you don't see the driver you need, contact the database software vendor to obtain a driver.
