Is it possible to insert new keyframes before the first keyframe when authoring animations in ArcGIS Pro?

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Procedure

Yes, it is possible to insert new keyframes before the first keyframe when authoring animation in ArcGIS Pro 1.2 and later versions. A keyframe is a snapshot of the data in a particular state or point along the animation path. By default, new keyframes are appended to the end of the animation sequence in the Keyframe Gallery. However, users may want to append keyframes before the first keyframe to edit the introduction of the animation sequence.

To insert keyframes before the first keyframe, on the Animation tab, check the Append Front check box before clicking Append. The Append Front option allows users to edit the animation sequence with the newly created keyframes without having to drag and rearrange the keyframes in the Keyframe Gallery.
