Frequently asked question

Is it possible to import reports from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro?

Last Published: June 7, 2021

Answer

No, it is not possible to import reports from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro. ArcGIS Pro currently supports only the report file (.rptx) format. ArcGIS Pro does not support the report layout file (.rlf) and the report document file (.rdf) formats created in ArcMap, and there is no option available in ArcGIS Pro to import and view these files.

As a workaround, export the RLF file from ArcMap to a file format supported by ArcGIS Pro, for example, a PDF file. Download and open the PDF file in ArcGIS Pro. Refer to ArcMap: Exporting a report for steps to do this.

Note:
Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Supported data types and items for a list of file formats supported by ArcGIS Pro.
