Yes, it is possible to determine view counts for Esri Story Maps. View counts indicate the popularity of search topics by the community.
Choose one of the methods below to determine the view counts for Esri Story Maps:
Through the ArcGIS Online Overview tab
In ArcGIS Online, navigate to the item details page in the Overview tab of the story map and refer to View Count. For more information on View Count, refer to ArcGIS Online: Item details - Monitor usage.
Note: This method is also applicable in ArcGIS StoryMaps (Beta). For more information on ArcGIS StoryMaps, refer to ArcGIS StoryMaps: Frequently Asked Questions.
Through the ArcGIS Online Usage tab
In ArcGIS Online, navigate to the Usage tab of the story map. A more detailed analysis of the item view is shown.
Note: This method is only accessible to item owners and administrators.

Through the Esri Story Maps My Stories page
Open the classic Esri Story Maps My Stories page and refer to the number of views listed for each item.
Note: This method is not applicable in ArcGIS StoryMaps (Beta). Opening the ArcGIS StoryMaps My Stories page does not list the view counts for each item.
Through third-party products incorporated in self-hosted story maps
It is possible to self-host story maps in a user's own server and incorporate third-party products such as Google Analytics and Maptiks to capture page views or analyze map traffic. For more information, refer to Story Maps Developers' Corner: Adding Google Analytics to your Story Maps and Esri Canada: What Two Lines of Code Can Do to Your Web Map. However, these products are not supported by Esri Technical Support.
