How does MapObjects-Java handle shapefiles with duplicate fields?

Answer

At MapObjects-Java 2.x, shapefiles that contain duplicate fields can now be processed by automatically renaming the duplicate fields.

The naming process behaves as follows:

If the original dbf field names are:
NORMAL, NORMAL, FULL_SIZED, FULL_SIZED

The fields are automatically renamed:
NORMAL, NORMAL_1, FULL_SIZED, FULL_SIZ_1
