No, ArcGIS Experience Builder does not support horizontal layout scrolling. Horizontal layouts are used to compare or reference content by arranging widgets side by side. The Row and Flow Row widgets can be used to arrange the widgets horizontally. When additional widgets extend beyond the visible view, configure navigation arrows using the Section widget with multiple views or apply a slider style using the Views Navigation widget to enable horizontal navigation.
Use the Section widget with multiple views
- Open the experience in Experience Builder.
- Click Insert to open the Insert widget panel. On the New tab, under Section, drag and drop the Section widget onto the canvas. Adjust the size, if necessary.
- Drag and drop the preferred widget from the Insert widget panel into the first view. Multiple widgets can be added and configured to the same view.
- Select the Section widget on the canvas to open the configuration panel, and click +New view under Views.
- Repeat Steps 3 through 4 to add other widgets to other views.
- In the Section widget panel, under Tools, toggle Arrows on. Optionally, toggle Dots on.
- Click Save
> Publish.
The experience below shows the arrow icon used to navigate the layout horizontally.
Use the Section and View Navigation widgets
- Repeat Steps 1 through 5 from the previous workaround.
- In the Insert widget panel, on the New tab, under Section, drag and drop the Views Navigation widget onto the canvas.
Note:
Ensure the Views Navigation widget is placed outside of the Section widget. Refer to ArcGIS Experience Builder: Usage notes for more information.
- Click the Views Navigation widget on the canvas. Click Quick style
and select the desired navigation style. In this example, Slider is selected.
- In the Views Navigation pane, configure the following parameters:
- On the Style tab, click the ellipses
and select Full width. - On the Content tab, under Link to, click the drop-down menu and select the Section widget.
- Click Save
> Publish.
The experience below shows the Views Navigation widget with a slider to navigate the layout horizontally.
