Export to Interchange (E00) file does not create output.

Error Message

Executing the Export to Interchange File, located in ArcToolbox > Coverage Tools > From Coverage, does not create any output.


ArcGIS Desktop and ArcInfo Workstation are directed to different license servers. For example, the ArcGIS Desktop license is pointing to a license server on the network, while ArcInfo Workstation points to a local license file.

Solution or Workaround

  1. Redirect licenses for both applications to the concurrent license server, which can be either a local single use license or a license server on the network.
    Coverage Tools, or tools that execute ArcInfo Workstation commands in the background, require the user to have administrative permissions on the computer.
