HOW TO
Since ArcGIS Desktop 9.1, ArcMap schematics has had the ability to export diagrams as shapefiles or feature classes. This functionality is used to take advantage of the core labeling and symbology available in ArcMap for finished output. However, the only link back to the original features from the exported diagram features is the objectid field, so a join can be created from the exported tables to the original tables. When this process is done frequently, it becomes more difficult. For this reason, the product was enhanced at ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 Service Pack 4 to allow the exporting of all the related feature attributes to happen automatically.
