Solution or Workaround
While working with data stored on a NetWare disk, or if workspace is on a NetWare disk, one of these errors may occur:
(GENNAM) unable to create placeholder
isp channel 1 and 2 not properly stored
error has occurred in cover_save (AE drive)
User does not have write access to current working directory.
Bailing out of ArcEdit.
Stopping execution of AML do to error condition
These errors occur if you don't have read, write, create, and erase (rwce) permissions to the coverage and workspace. They may also occur if you have not activated OS/2 name space, which supports long (non 8.3 DOS compliant) file names.
1. Check your rwce permissions: in a Command Prompt window, navigate to the NetWare directory and type rights.
If you don't have read, write, create, and erase rights, have your NetWare administrator assign them to you.
2. Make sure the OS/2 name space has been loaded on the NetWare server: in a Command Prompt window, navigate to the NetWare directory and type rights.
If you have the proper permissions, create a file with a name longer than the 8.3 standard DOS naming convention. If you can create the file, the OS/2 name space is loaded. If you cannot create the file, have your NetWare administrator load the OS/w name space.
