Survey123 report error: "The task failed because all reports failed to run printindividual"

Error Message

Attempting to create a report in an ArcGIS Survey123 website returns the following error:

"The task failed because all reports failed to run printindividual".

Cause

The web map that the report is trying to print is either inaccessible or returns an error when launching

Solution or Workaround

1. Add the target feature service of the survey to a new web map and save the web map.
2. Make a note of the new web map ID. This can be obtained from the url of the web map after saving, as shown below.

3. If a custom report template hasn't been created, then from the Survey123 website, navigate to the data page for the respective survey. Select Report > Manage templates and create a sample template.
4. Open up the template Word file and add the following amendment to the question(s) that referenced the previous web map:

| map:"<web map ID>"

For example, if the geopoint question had an alias named "location", then the new amendment would be:

5. Save the document and upload the template to the Manage templates window.
