When using ArcGIS Survey123 with ArcGIS Enterprise, attempting to open a survey from the ArcGIS Survey123 website fails, with the survey loading indefinitely. Attempting to query users in the ArcGIS Survey123 website only refreshes the surveys, and does not return any results for querying users.
ArcGIS Enterprise components and map services may also display intermittent performance reduction. The following error message is displayed when checking the ArcGIS Server log file:
Error: The machine <machineName> was not reachable while performing this operation. The server machine will be notified of this change when it comes back online. If ArcGIS Server is going to continue to be unavailable, remove the machine from the site.
An ArcGIS Server machine in the ArcGIS Server site is unreachable. This can be due to the following reasons:
Depending on the issue, perform one of the following workarounds.
Ensure the machine is resolvable over the internal network
Ensure the ArcGIS Server machine is connected to the network, and can be accessed by other machines in the organization's network. This process may vary depending on the organization, and must be performed by the organization's IT.
Start the ArcGIS Server Windows service
Note: If the service is already running, right-click the service and select Restart instead.
Ensure the machine is online
Ensure the ArcGIS Server machine is online. This may require the assistance of the organization's IT.
