Summary

When choosing the dBASE option in ARCSHELL, this error message is returned:

   The dBASE program has not been installed yet.

Cause

Incorrect reference in the DBASE.BAT file.

Solution

Check the DBASE.BAT file. Line five executes the dbase command with the word DBASE. Check this line to make sure it points to the correct dBASE executable. For example, if the executable is named DBASE4.EXE, it should be renamed to DBASE.EXE.
