Solution or Workaround
When I try to exit PC ARC/INFO, I get the error message "The CMOS file cmos.ram could not be updated."
Answer:
The CMOS.RAM file could not be written to. It stores the current CMOS state for reference by the Virtual DOS Machine (VDM) emulation. The CMOS.RAM file exists in the %SystemRoot%\SYSTEM32 subdirectory. The %SystemRoot% is the directory where Windows NT is installed, such as WINDOS, WINNT or WINNT35.
Check that you have permission to update the CMOS.RAM file. You may need to ask your system administrator to give you write permission on the file.
