Symbol xxxx was referenced ... symbol was not found

Error Message

Starting SDE with the command sdemon -o start produces this error:rtld: 0712-001 Symbol xxxx was referenced from module xxxx/sdeexe302/lib/libsdesrvr.so(), but a runtime definition of the symbol was not found.

Cause

The Informix ClientSDK (Client Software Development Kit) was not installed on the Informix server.

Solution or Workaround

• Use the Informix command check_version csdk to display the version currently installed.
• Install the ClientSDK. Be sure to use the version that is certified for use with SDE.
