ERROR
When trying to view the GlobeXplorer U.S. DOQQ Imagery or GlobeXplorer U.S. Premium Aerial Imagery layers in ArcMap, the following error message is displayed in the Data Frame: "Sorry, no data available at this scale in this area"
There are three possible causes for this message being displayed in the Data Frame.
Cause 1:
GlobeXplorer layers do not support projection strings. Projection strings are used in map requests from ArcGIS 9.0 (with Service Packs 1, 2, or 3 installed) and 9.1. Projection strings can be used in map requests from ArcGIS 8.3 and 9.0 (without any Service Packs installed) when a standard projection has been customized.
Cause 2:
The Business Analyst Extension is turned on. Business Analyst uses a custom projection which is not supported by GlobeXplorer layers. See Cause 1 for more information.
Cause 3:
GlobeXplorer layers cannot be larger than 1000 x 1000 pixels.
Solution 1:
If you are using ArcGIS 9.0 with Service Pack 1, 2, or 3 installed, or ArcGIS 9.1, then GlobeXplorer layers can only be viewed in an unprojected Data Frame, with the coordinate system set to GCS_WGS_1984.
If you are using ArcGIS 8.3 or 9.0 without any Service Packs installed, and your Data Frame is using a customized projection, switch to using a pre-defined projection.
Solution 2:
Turn off the Business Analyst Extension, and refer to Solution 1 above.
Solution 3:
If your monitor is set to use a high screen resolution, then reduce the size of the ArcMap window so that the Data Frame size is smaller than 1000 x 1000 pixels.
