ERROR
When attempting to access an ArcGIS Experience Builder app from the Portal for ArcGIS Content page, the following error message is returned:
Error: Sorry, you do not have permissions to access this application.
Additionally, attempting to edit or delete the app in Portal for ArcGIS fails.
The app is corrupted. This renders Portal for ArcGIS incapable of identifying the app.
The following are two workflows to potentially identify what is corrupted and resolve the issue.
Note: The workflows require administrative privileges to modify the files stored in the Portal install directories for the application.
When the Experience is corrupted, it is often due to additional characters added to the contents of the iteminfo.xml file.
Note: It is recommended to back up the XML file and validate it using an XML validation tool.
C:\arcgisportal\content\items\<GUID of experience Builder application>\esriinfo\
If the previous workflow does not resolve the issue, it is advisable to recreate the PBF file.
Note: If the PBF file is not available in the Portal directory, launch the Experience. Launching the Experience recreates the file.
