No valid feature found in the received authorization data

Error Message

When authorizing a deployment license for ArcGIS Runtime, the following error may be returned:

"No valid feature found in the received authorization data."

Cause

The Software Authorization Wizard is having a problem writing to the keycodes file.

Solution or Workaround

1. To locate the keycodes file, navigate to:
   
   

   C:\Program Files (x86)\ESRI\License10.1\sysgen

   
   or
   
   

   C:\Program Files\ESRI\License10.1\sysgen

   
   
2. Rename the keycodes file to keycodes_OLD.
3. Authorize the license in the Software Authorization Wizard again.
4. To check the deployment licenses are working, open up LicenseViewer.exe at:
   
   

   C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS SDKs\WPF10.1.1\tools

   
   For License Type, choose Deployment, there should be a string similar to:
   

   
   ArcGISRuntime.SetLicense("runtimestandard,101,RUD000000000,31-jan-2014,XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX");
