ERROR

List element marked deleted (CONGET)

Solution or Workaround

Summary

CLEAN, MAPJOIN, or any Overlay Module command return this message:

List element marked deleted (CONGET)

Cause

This message is usually associated with very dense data.

Solution

1. Delete the .MSK file from the coverage subdirectory, if using CLEAN or BUILD. Run those commands again.

2. Change the fuzzy tolerance and CLEAN or BUILD again until the situation no longer occurs. If you are not using fuzzy tolerance, try using it. Finding the appropriate fuzzy tolerance value requires an understanding of the minimum coordinate resolution for the coverages. As a rule of thumb, increase the fuzzy tolerance by increments of 1 1/2 or decrease it by 1/4 until the error message no longer occurs

3. Split the coverage into multiple parts to reduce the complexity. Work with the coverage in tiles.

4. Use the Starter Kit command TOLERANCE to adjust this value in each coverage's TOL file. MAPJOIN will use the value set in TOL to determine the tolerance.
