Linestring or poly boundary is self-intersecting

Error Message

When converting SDC data to SDE by way of ArcCatalog, the user may receive the following error:"Linestring or poly boundary is self-intersecting Failed to execute (CopyFeatures)".

Cause

SDC data cannot be converted to SDE geodatabase format by way of ArcCatalog.

Solution or Workaround

1. Export to personal geodatabase.
2. Use ArcCatalog to Paste the feature class into the ArcSDE geodatabase.
