ERROR

<layer name>: An invalid SQL statement was used

Error Message

In ArcGIS Pro 3.2 and later, when zooming in to the feature layer created from a CSV file, the point features are not displayed, returning a drawing alert notification. Clicking the drawing alert notification returns the following error message:

Cause

The X and Y coordinate field names in the referenced CSV file contain spaces or special characters.

Solution or Workaround

In the CSV file, ensure the field names do not include special characters or spaces.

  • Remove special characters from the field names.
  • Replace spaces in the field names with underscores.
