Field Maps won't be able to communicate with your organization until you have successfully signed in again

Error Message

When opening the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app, the following error message is returned:

Error:
Field Maps won't be able to communicate with your organization until you have successfully signed in again.

Note:
This error occurs for Open Authorization (OAuth) and Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) users.

Cause

The OAuth setting in the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app is set to Default.

Solution or Workaround

Set the OAuth setting in the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app to In App.

Note:
Update to the latest version of iOS or Android operating system, and the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app.

For iOS devices

1. Open the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app on the mobile device and tap Profile .
2. On the Profile page, triple-tap the username to open the Developer page.

3. Tap Sign In. The Sign In page is displayed.

4. Tap OAuth and select In App.

5. Tap Developer to return to the Developer page.
6. Tap Done > Done to exit the profile settings.

For Android devices

1. Open the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app and tap Profile .
2. On the Profile page, triple-tap the username to open the Developer settings page.

3. Tap Sign in. The Sign in settings page is displayed.

4. Tap OAuth and select In App.

5. Tap > to return to the Profile page.
6. Tap  to exit the profile settings.
